Grand Banks Natural Oil Stain Teak Ottoman

Our Teak Two individual items from the Grand Banks deep seating collection have a traditional look that adds both charm and convenience to your space. This solid teak ottoman has a fine, sanded finish with an oil-based stain for less long-term maintenance over the years. The Grand Banks ottoman features a colonial style with a slender frame and tapered feet to support it. The base consist of horizontal slats and the sides of the ottoman feature curved detailing. Add extra seating for a guest or give your club chair a comfortable footrest with this ottoman. The teak used is plantation grown, European grade teak furniture from FSC-certified upcycled teak wood, gathered from old-growth, FSC-certified forests, across the Indonesian archipelago. The teak wood undergoes a six-week kiln drying process of taking moisture out of the wood. This is important because the moisture in the teak wood is what causes the finished product to shrink or expand with changes in temperature and humidity. Making it one of the most durable materials we carry, teak is the only material with a natural resistance to water, insects, mold, and mildew. This ottoman is a combination of machine-made for precision and handmade with traditional Mortise and Tenon construction for smooth and tight joinery to showcase the elements from local artisans.
